Trip-Hop. Musical style. DJ information blog. Another representative in a long road directions, sticked to dance culture of Great Britain at the stage of post-acid house and rapidly changing constantly experimenting underground. Trip-Hop was created by British music publications in order to describe the new style, consisting of downtempo, jazz-, funk-and experimental breakbeat music, which started to appear in 1993 with the participation of such recording companies as Mo'Wax, Ninja Tune, Cup of Tea and Wall of Sound. Similar (although without most vocal parties) to American hip-hop to use sempliry drum breaks, this style was more experimental phenomenon, inspiring a large number of elements and psychotropic ambient atmosphere. Thus, the term "trip" quickly takes root and was used to describe all of Portishead and Tricky to DJ Shadow and UNKLE, Coldcut, Wagon Christ and Depth Charge unfortunately many of these musicians, who saw his music as the expansion of boundaries of conventional hip - hop, rather than its new branch, used for noise. One of the first commercially meaningful hybrid-based dance music - full versions of albums in the style of trip-hop, become permanent leaders of alternative charts in Britain, and in the opinion of musicians, such as Shadow, Tricky, Morcheeba, the Sneaker Pimps and Massive Attack, this style ensured the infiltration of a large part of the first wave of music "electronica" to America.
