Southern Rap. Musical style. DJ information blog.

Southern Rap, looks like a third wheel among the East Coast and West Coast hip-hop, appeared in 90th years of rich musical directions at the scene Miami, New Orleans and Atlanta. At the end of 80th, Southern rap in main associated with Miami bass music, and was known as "booty rap" for his dominance incendiary rhythms and lyrics. The main performers are the team Luther Campbell's 2 Live Crew, which brought about sex in his lyrics to a maximum limit, provoking noisy protests from fans of censorship throughout the country. Sounds of Miami bass have spread throughout the southern United States, mostly dance rhythm nation's 90th. At this stage dominated by such performers as Tag Team, 95 South, the 69 Boyz, Quad City DJ's and Freak Nasty. All of them produced a large hit singles (filled with much more explicit texts than that of Campbell). Atlanta belonged to a number of artists in the style of heavy party rap, it also developed a more typical (and recognized by critics) style that combines the classic Southern soul. Intellectual team became the first Arrested Development, which had huge success on the national music scene in 1992. Several years later, their success reiterated Organized Noize, OutKast and especially Goodie Mob.
If Atlanta has become a center of creative direction of Southern rap, then New Orleans was, of course, its commercial mecca. Master P built a profitable empire with the help of the Phonographic company No Limit. Most albums, recorded studio No Limit belonged to a West Coast G-funk, Wu-Tang-style hardcore and nothing else, as gangsta lyrics. Studio No Limit produced musical production plant with a capacity of the line and became a permanent participant in the national album charts the end of 90th.
