Old School Rap. Musical style. DJ information blog.

Old School Rap - this style is very fast rap musicians, who came from New York City at the end of 70 - 80th beginning. Old school (old school) easily distinguished from other areas of their relatively simplistic rap, most lines are approximately the same time, and speech rhythms rarely change direction in the course of bits songs. Modulation (lowering voice) usually falls exactly at the bit, and when this did not happen, it is not long - the sound returns to the original palette for quick konsonans (harmonization). The main emphasis was not on the lyrical side of music, but simply on the good old days this was far from the social concern commands Grandmaster Flash, which has greatly expanded the horizons of rap music. Keep good slow pace, the style of old school rap obviously had an excellent ground for the development of women's rap, but no one was able to achieve greater success than Grandmaster Flash & Furious Five or Sugarhill Gang. With the advent of two singles from Fatback "King Tim III" and the Sugarhill Gang "Rapper's Delight," although the movement has evolved to this almost 10 years. Studio Sugarhill Records quickly became the center of old school rap style and sound dominated the market until such time as in the years 1983-84 Run-DMC not contributed to the development of technology and the sound did not begin to develop the direction of hardcore urban. Their sound and style soon be fully captured rap space, making the club orientation and old school funk legacy 70th into something old-fashioned. When compared with the sophistication of modern rhythms modern-day rap, or even the hip-hop (which came in light of less than 10 years after "Rapper's Delight") line of old school rap may seem outdated and a bit sluggish. But the best tracks old school continue to live as the best music for parties, regardless of a new era in which we live. This is surprising, taking into account the active development of musical culture.
